Do you want your kids to learn how to ride a bike or improve their bike skills? CycleSense runs workshops teaching kids how to ride safely, skillfully and confidently on a two wheel bike.
We provide services in Queensland from the Gold Coast to Brisbane, northern NSW as far South as Byron Bay and in Perth WA.

Workshops/Courses
Private Bookings
Private Individual Learn to Ride Session
During this one-on-one session we teach your child how to ride a two wheel bike. At the end of this session most kids are able to experience the fun of riding a bike independently.
Parents/guardians take home valuable advice on how to progress their child’s riding experience.
1 hour – $100
Note – we offer private individual Learn to Ride sessions for children with special needs.

RAC Bike Basics Workshops
CycleSense are running childrens Learn to Ride and Bike Skills workshops in partnership with the RAC.
Learn to Ride workshop
This workshop is suitable for children 4 – 12 years old. Children will be instructed on how to ride safely, skilfully, and confidently on a two-wheel bike with the assistance of a parent/guardian.
Bike Skills workshop
This workshop is suitable for children 5 – 12 years old. This workshop teaches children who can independently ride a two wheel bike how to ride safely by developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in a fun, learning environment.

School Holiday Youth Cycling Workshop – ‘The Skills of Bike Riding on Shared Paths, Roads and Trails’
CycleSense are running FREE youth cycling workshops hosted by the City of Wanneroo in the October holidays to develop ‘The Skills of Bike Riding on Shared Paths, Roads and Trails’. The workshops are open to young people 9 – 18 years and are aimed at developing the skills and enjoyment of riding a bike. It is appropriate for all skill levels with activities designed to progress the riding ability of novice and experienced riders. Following an initial skills assessment, riders will be grouped based on age and experience and taken through activities and games in both an on-road (roads and paths) and off-road (trails and park) environment. Participants will learn to apply these skills in both individual and group riding scenarios.

Learn to Ride Workshop
This workshop teaches children 4 years – 12 years over the skills required to advance from training wheels/balance bikes to riding a two wheel bike. During the session, parents/guardians take an active role in assisting their child to ride a bike and receive valuable advice on how to progress their child’s riding experience.
The workshop is conducted by our AusCycling accredited instructors as a group session for a maximum of 10 children with a ratio of no more than 5 children to an instructor.
A one-on-one session with an instructor is also available by request.

Pump Track Skills Workshop
This workshop teaches children 8 years and over the fundamental skills required to ride competently and safely on Perth’s many pump tracks.

Beginner Cycle Skills and Safety Workshop
This workshop teaches children five years to 12 years who can independently ride a two wheel bike how to ride safely by developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in a fun, learning environment.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will take home valuable advice on how to progress their child’s riding experience.

Bike Skills Course
This six week program teaches children 5 years to 12 years who can ride a two wheel bike how to ride safely by developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in a fun, learning environment. It extends on the skills and techniques introduced in the Beginner Cycle Skills and Safety Workshop to reinforce the child’s confidence and ability in a supported environment.
The program focuses on bike control skills so that kids are given the techniques to allow them to ride proficiently in an off-road environment.

6 sessions (1 hour) – $150
Group Riding Workshop
Riding in a group with family and peers can be a fun, social activity that is a great way to get around and keep fit. This workshop teaches children 6 years to 15 years the skills and techniques of proficiently riding with others.

The program is open to children six years and over who can independently ride a two wheel bike. It is recommended that they have completed the Beginner Cycle Skills and Safety Workshop or equivalent course as a minimum before enrolling in this workshop. There will be a maximum of 10 children in each workshop. The course will be conducted by AusCycling accredited instructors.

About Us
All CycleSense instructors are AusCycling accredited, hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and have First Aid certification. They have a passion to promote the enjoyment of cycling through developing skills and confidence on the bike.
