About Us
Bike Education
CycleSense’s AusCycling accredited instructors have delivered bike education to children and adults over the last 14 years.
We specialise in developing the cycle skills and knowledge of 3 – 15 year-olds so they have the skills, confidence and experience to ride safely. Our popular ‘Learn to Ride’ and ‘Bike Skills and Safety’ sessions are offered in SE Queensland and Perth, WA.
We deliver a 4 week School Bike Education Program which is a modified version of AusCycling’s ‘Ride Nation’ national junior bike education program. It is practical, progressive and great fun for students! Our Inclusive School Bike Education program has been a great success for students with autism and ADHD.
We are contracted by the Department of Transport in WA to deliver School Bike Education and Bike Safety Checks for the Your Move Schools program. In Queensland we developed the ‘Riding Rulz’ program for the City of Gold Coast’s Active School Travel (AST) program to educate students on the numerous benefits of riding a bike to school. We manage and deliver the Riding Rulz School Bike Education workshops, assembly presentations (including a ‘special guest’ option) and Bike Safety Checks. We have also organised and delivered ‘Ride to School’ days and bike festivals as part of school active travel initiatives.
Since 2014, we have been involved in the development and delivery of numerous community cycle skill workshops for the City of Gold Coast including the ever-popular ‘Training Wheels to Two Wheels’ and ‘Children’s Bike Skills’. Our adult workshops have included electric bike orientation and training, supported community rides, mountain bike sessions, beginners workshops and Better Bike Maintenance workshops.
We also have extensive experience delivering community cycling workshops and events in WA including supported rides and bike games/activities for the WestCycle ‘Let’s Roll’ riding series, ‘Epic Bike Quest’ riding series and ‘The Beeloo’ riding series. We have also provided our services at ‘Open Streets’ hosted by Town Team Movement and activations for the City of Kalamunda.
We enjoy promoting to workplaces the benefits of cycling as a means of active travel. During our experience managing Love to Ride Brisbane we organised and facilitated corporate cycling workshops, ‘Ride to Work’ breakfasts and ‘Come and Try’ rides.
